Summary:

As the Director of Business Development (Foodservice) you will be responsible for driving business growth and expansion within the foodservice sector. Your primary focus will be to develop and execute strategies to increase sales, establish strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, and drive revenue growth. This is a key leadership role, and you will be working closely with the executive team to shape the company's overall business direction. Responsibilities:

● Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive sales and revenue growth in the foodservice sector.

● Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the foodservice industry to expand market reach and customer base.

● Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers and ensure a reliable and diverse supply chain.

● Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and support them in achieving revenue targets for foodservice clients.

● Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities for growth.

● Analyze sales data and performance metrics to evaluate business performance and identify areas for improvement.

● Lead negotiations and contract discussions with key clients and partners to establish mutually beneficial agreements.

● Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure the successful execution of business development initiatives.

● Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and networking opportunities.

● Keep a close eye on competitors' activities, pricing strategies, and new product launches within the foodservice sector.

● Utilize market intelligence to maintain a competitive edge and identify areas for differentiation.

● Monitor industry developments, regulatory changes, and market dynamics to make informed business decisions and adjust strategies as needed.

● Uphold high ethical standards in all business dealings and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

● Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

● A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Additional experience can be in lieu of experience.

● 5+ years in business development, sales, or related roles within the foodservice or wholesale grocery industry.

● Prior experience in managing and mentoring sales or business development professionals. ● Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required to attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.

● Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving. ● A passion for the food industry and a keen interest in Asian cuisine and culinary trends. ● Familiarity with CRM systems, sales software, and data analysis tools is desirable. ● Demonstrated success in generating new business opportunities and expanding market share in the food service sector.

● Strong understanding of the Asian grocery market, including products, suppliers, and customer segments.

● Strong business acumen and financial literacy, including budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing financial reports.

● Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills to articulate complex ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner.

● Ability to build and maintain an extensive network and contacts within the food service industry, particularly in the restaurant and catering sectors.

● Ability to meet or exceed sales targets and achieve revenue and profitability goals. ● Ability to lead a team, foster collaboration, and inspire others to achieve common goals. ● Ability to convert insights into actionable plans and adept at market research and analysis to identify untapped opportunities.

Compensation:
